Poe the Clydesdale World's tallest Horse

It’s lucky he’s such a good-natured beast. Because if this horse turned grumpy, there’s no way a petite woman armed with a rope could hold him back. Standing 20.2 hands - that’s 6ft 10in - at the shoulder and weighing 200 stone, Poe is the tallest horse in the world, according to owner Shereen Thompson.

Inching above his rivals: Poe, shown here with another horse on the Canadian farm, stands at 20.2 hands. The Clydesdale is 2in bigger than the horse from Texas currently listed in the Guinness Book of Records, she believes - and dwarfs her own 5ft 3in frame. He lives on Miss Thompson’s farm in Tupperville, Ontario, in Canada. Poe - who is 10ft tall with his head held high - needs two bales of hay a day, 10lb of grain and 75 gallons of water. Miss Thompson rescued Poe - named after her favourite writer, Edgar Allen Poe - in February 2008.

The ten-year-old has since become a firm favourite at local fairs - where she said he behaves like ‘a real puppy’. ‘But he does sometimes forget his strength and drags me along if he wants to play or go chasing something,’ she added.Giddy up... and up and up: Poe, eats two bales of hay a day, gallops through the fields.

Extreme Design Pizza Cutters

Frankie Flood designed a number of pizza cutters based on high tech designed which was inspired by chopper motorcycles. The artist statement ‘My work investigates one of a kind objects and their role in a world based on mechanical reproduction. Industry has removed the aura from objects and stripped them of their individuality. My pizza cutters seek to demolish the sterile conformity of mass produced objects and represent the stylistic and flamboyant embellishment of groups who live on the fringe of popular culture.’

My little pony : The tiny horse that wants a name for Christmas

The horse, currently only a little taller than this book, is expected to grow to about 24 inches

Toy horses are usually pink and plastic – and aimed at young girls. But this little pony is 100 per cent natural – and ready to make friends with anyone her size.

The miniature horse snuggles up to mummy as local people try to come up with a name for her

Born ten days ago at a stud in the southern state of Victoria, Australia, the 15in miniature horse – which is yet to be named – has already formed a bond with Sam Leith, 12. Silver dun tovero in colour, she was given a clean bill of health – and should reach 24in when grown. The birth has generated such excitement in the community that local people are entering a competition to give the horse a name in time for Christmas.

Tight squeeze: The horse is so small it can fit underneath her mother

Owner Lee Scown said she wanted a name that reflected the tiny, unique nature of the horse.'It’s the smallest horse I’ve ever had and she’s so gorgeous,' Ms Scown said. 'It’s amazing to see a horse so tiny, and she’s about the size of a week-old lamb.'The horse is the smallest born at Riverdance and its arrival surprised even its breeder.'We got told the mare wasn't due for another four weeks but on Sunday morning I walked outside and called her, and out ran the little foal behind her.'

Going for a walk: Sam leads the way, followed by Bliss and her tiny new daughter

Seeing eye to eye: The little horse has already formed a bond with youngster Sam Leith

World's Strongest and Smallest Mom

World's Smallest Mother is Having Her 3rd Baby
This is Stacey Herald, 35, who is just 2ft 4in tall and who suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a genetic bone disorder. This disorder provokes severe respiratory problems due to underdeveloped lungs. She has already two daughters with her husband Will who have outgrown their mother. The first girl has the same condition as her mother; the second one is completely healthy.
The third baby they are awaiting is a boy. The family is very thrilled.
Stacy is risking her life to have this baby as well as she did while she was pregnant with the girls. Doctors say that when the baby gets very large, it would eventually crush her organs, strangling her from the inside out. But Stacy and Will hope that the pregnancy will go smooth and 4 weeks from now they will have a beautiful baby boy.
